How to get to Montjuic
Montjuïc is an accessible mountain in different ways from the city of Barcelona. The most used means is the funicular of Montjuïc, but it can be accessed with buses, aerial ferry or walking.
Funicular of Montjuïc
The funicular of Montjuïc allows you to climb up the mountain of Montjuïc from the Parallel station of the metro network, it is a transfer with the line 2 and 3 of the metro, taking the funicular at the end of a corridor without leaving the network of metro being integrated with the same metro ticket. Make trips every 10 minutes although the schedule is different to the metro service having an opening from Monday to Friday at 7:30 and weekends and holidays at 9:00. The closing of the service is at 20:00 in winter time and at 22:00 in summer time.

Line 55
Parc de Montjuïc / Pl. Catalana
Line 55 does not reach the top of the mountain but for several museums, such as the Joan Miro Foundation, the Ethnological Museum, the MNAC or the Esport Museum. Your schedule is wider.
Line 150
Pl. España / Castillo de Montjuïc
Bus line 150 runs all its way through Montjuic, as it goes from Plaza España to Montjuic Castle. Its schedule is from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. every day although varying the frequency of passage.
Line 13
Mercado de Sant Antoni / Parc de Montjuïc
The bus line 13 is another option but has some common stop with the 150 being the longest route when passing through other neighborhoods near Montjuic.
Turistic Bus
The tourist buses is a very good option to visit the mountain. It stops at the most important tourist spots and has an audioguide incorporated in the seats to inform you of the most important points of the visit. The ability to get off and get up at all stops allows you to organize the visit. You have a stop at the Montjuic cable car to go up to the Montjuïc Castle.
With the ticket include a booklet with many discounts from different tourist points.
Aerial port ferry
The air ferry from the port connects the port with the mountain of Montjuïc by means of two cabins that cover the distance of just over one kilometer in 10 minutes.
The port station called Torre de San Sebastian is located in Barceloneta. The mountain station of Montjuïc is located in the gardens of Miramar just behind the hotel Miramar.
